*🚨FARKE NAMES THE “UNBELIEVABLE” LEEDS TALENT HE CAN’T WAIT TO UNLEASH: JEAN-MATTÉO BAHOYA*
*Leeds.* Daniel Farke has dropped a big hint. The Leeds United boss called new winger Jean-Mattéo Bahoya “unbelievable” and admitted he can’t wait to unleash the 20-year-old at Elland Road.
Speaking ahead of the weekend fixture, Farke heaped praise on the Frenchman who joined from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer. After weeks of building fitness and learning the system, Bahoya could be set for his first start.
*”He has everything you want”*
Farke didn’t hold back when asked about the youngster.
“He is an unbelievable talent,” Farke said. “The speed, the 1v1, the courage. He wants the ball in tight areas and he is not afraid. We signed him for a reason. Now he is getting closer and closer to being ready to start.”
Bahoya arrived at Leeds for around £25m as one of the club’s marquee summer signings. The pacey winger made his name in the Bundesliga with Frankfurt and was tracked by several Premier League clubs before choosing Elland Road.
The early weeks have been about adaptation. New league, new language, new tactical demands. But behind the scenes, Farke and his staff have been impressed.
“In training he is electric,” Farke added. “Every day he gets better with his decision making. Defensively he is working so hard. That is what we need in the Championship. Talent alone is not enough.”
*Why now?*
Leeds have started the season well but have lacked a real burst of pace out wide. Crysencio Summerville’s departure left a gap for someone to stretch teams and attack space behind.
That’s exactly Bahoya’s game. 5ft 11, rapid, direct, and two-footed. He averaged 3.2 successful dribbles per 90 in Germany last season and ranked among the fastest players in the Bundesliga.
With a busy run of fixtures coming up, Farke sees the perfect moment to throw him in. “We have to manage the load, but yes, he is pushing. I can’t wait to unleash him in front of our fans. Elland Road will love him.”
*Fans buzzing*
The comments set social media alight. Leeds fans have been asking to see Bahoya from the start since his 20-minute cameo last month where he completed 4 dribbles and won 2 fouls.
“Bahoya SZN,” one fan posted. “If Farke says unbelievable, I believe it.”
Leeds will need that X-factor if they are to mount a serious promotion push. With Bahoya now fit and firing, Farke may have just found the wildcard to unlock tight defences.
Kickoff is Saturday at 3pm. Don’t be surprised if you see No.17 tearing down the wing.
