After Saturday’s match I’m still shook. Wrexham absolutely smashed us 2-0 at the Racecourse, Thomason nodding in from a corner on 31 minutes and Windass smashing the second just 69 seconds later. Defensive errors all over the place, no real response, and even Lamine Cissé’s late effort that rattled the bar in the 89th minute couldn’t spark anything. We’re 17th with 55 points, basically confirmed safe but with nothing to play for the rest of the season. Away form is still dire, and the whole squad looked flat.

Those two goals in quick succession killed the game before halftime. Stoke had moments, sure, but the back line got pulled apart too easily and we never really recovered. Classic Championship grind where one mistake snowballs.
