A 6-foot-2, 265-pound interior lineman from Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Wilson announced his decision to commit to the Yellow Jackets this week, choosing Tech over offers from Miami and Minnesota.
Wilson’s commitment is a notable win for head coach Brent Key and his staff, who have made a clear push to strengthen the defensive line with talent from Florida. The Yellow Jackets now have three defensive line pledges in the 2026 cycle, two of whom hail from the Sunshine State. That includes Alex Willis, another three-star interior lineman from First Academy in Orlando who committed last month.

Wilson’s move to Georgia Tech will reunite him with a familiar face—Derry “Chuck” Norris, a former Spruce Creek teammate who joined the Yellow Jackets as part of the 2025 class. Norris enrolled early and is already gaining buzz as a potential impact player. The relationship between the two players likely helped Tech’s chances and reflects the program’s growing influence in Florida recruiting circles.
