The Indiana Fever delivered a commanding 88-82 victory over the Phoenix Mercury at the Footprint Center. Despite not being at her peak, Clark, the top pick in the draft, contributed 15 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds, narrowly missing out on making history as the first rookie in WNBA history to achieve a triple-double.
Remarkably, Clark battled through the game despite not feeling her best. Post-game, she was unable to speak with the media as she was dealing with migraines, a condition she has faced since her stellar collegiate career at Iowa.

Indiana’s head coach revealed that Clark received treatment from the team’s trainer immediately after the game due to her migraine.
Looking ahead, the Fever’s resilience was on full display as they erased a double-digit deficit in the second half to secure the upset victory. Kelsey Mitchell emerged as a pivotal figure, scoring all of her 16 points after halftime, contributing significantly to Indiana’s comeback.
Next up for the Fever is a matchup against the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday night, where they aim to build on their recent success.
