Severe storm devastates Derby County training ground – valuable equipment destroyed and several players injured
A sudden and powerful storm struck Derby County’s Moor Farm Training Centre today, causing major damage and forcing the club to halt all training activities. The violent gusts hit without warning, turning what started as a normal session into a scene of chaos and danger.
As the players were working through tactical drills, fierce winds swept across the facility. Training cones, poles, and tactical boards were torn from the ground and blown across the pitch. Several goals, fitness frames, and conditioning equipment collapsed or were pushed aside by the storm’s intensity. Staff members rushed to guide players off the field as debris scattered in every direction.
Several Derby County players were struck by flying objects and required immediate medical checks. Thankfully, early reports confirm that all injuries are minor, though the incident left the entire squad visibly shaken.
