Nelson’s college career with the Kansas State Wildcats was nothing short of legendary. After walking on as a defensive back, he transitioned to wide receiver and quickly became one of the most electrifying players in program history. In 2007, he recorded 122 receptions for 1,606 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning All-American honors and becoming a fan favorite across the country.
His performance at Kansas State paved the way for a remarkable NFL career. Drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2008, Nelson became quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ go-to target and played a critical role in helping the Packers win Super Bowl XLV. Over 10 NFL seasons, Nelson tallied over 8,500 receiving yards and 72 touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl honors and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award in 2016.
