Marshall Manning, the teenage son of Tennessee Vols legend and Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, generated some headlines late last week when news broke that the young quarterback is set to enroll at The Baylor School in Chattanooga.
Marshall has grown up in Denver, but he’ll be playing high school football in East Tennessee.
There’s still a few years to go before Marshall’s recruitment will kick into high gear (he’s enrolling at The Baylor School as an eighth grader), but it won’t be long before the newest Manning on the scene is the talk of college football recruiting.
Why the Georgia Bulldogs could be an early front runner to land Peyton Manning’s son Marshall, an already impressive QB recruit

Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton, received an insane amount of attention as a recruit (despite the fact that Arch tried to stay as under-the-radar as possible).
Marshall’s recruitment will likely be even crazier.
Tennessee will obviously be viewed as an early favorite to land Marshall. But the Vols are from a guarantee to land Peyton’s son. The Manning family is known for letting their children make their own college decisions. And I would expect Peyton to follow that same formula (after all, that’s how Peyton landed at Tennessee instead of Ole Miss).
Could the Georgia Bulldogs be an early front runner for Marshall Manning?
Peyton is close friends with Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart. The two competed in the SEC in the same era and developed a friendship as high school recruits (oddly enough, they first became close on a recruiting trip to Florida).
