Now, after more than a decade in the NFL and years of accumulating wisdom, McCoy brings that same fire back to the Forty Acres—but this time from the sidelines.
Speaking during the press conference at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium, McCoy’s emotion was evident. “Texas is home,” he said. “Wearing the burnt orange shaped who I am. Coming back now to help build up these young men, to teach them what it means to be a Longhorn, and to chase greatness—that’s an honor I take very seriously.”
