4-Star IOL Drew Evers Says Texas A&M Visit “100%” Boosted His Commitment to the Aggies
COLLEGE STATION, TX — The buzz around Texas A&M’s recruiting class just got a major boost as 4-star interior offensive lineman (IOL) Drew Evers declared his recent official visit to College Station “100%” strengthened his commitment to the Aggies.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound mauler from Prosper, Texas, is ranked as the No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the country and the No. 27 overall prospect in the state, per 247Sports Composite. Evers had already been leaning toward the Aggies heading into the visit weekend, but after what he described as a “transformative experience,” his enthusiasm shot through the roof.

Evers, who holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and Florida State, among others, said the weekend provided more than just photo ops and locker room tours. The Aggie coaching staff, including new offensive line coach Adam Cushing, sat down with Evers for an in-depth session analyzing game film and schematics tailored to his strengths.
“They didn’t just tell me I fit their system — they showed me how,” Evers said. “Coach Cushing broke down inside zone reps, showed how I’d be used pulling, and pointed out where I could dominate right away. It wasn’t just talk. It was real.”
Evers was also seen bonding with fellow top recruits on the visit, including 4-star quarterback target Caleb Holmes and wideout Jamarion “Jet” Thomas. The trio was photographed walking into Kyle Field together, looking every bit like the future face of the Aggies’ offense.
“I was vibing with those guys heavy,” Evers said. “We were talking about starting something special in College Station. I’m all about building a class that competes for titles.”
