DeAngelo Hall Donates $16.7 Million to Virginia Tech for New Stadium Renovation Project
In a stunning and heartfelt display of loyalty, former NFL star and Virginia Tech football legend DeAngelo Hall has made history by donating his entire $16.7 million NFL career earnings to his alma mater for a sweeping stadium renovation project. Renovations will include upgraded locker rooms, a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center, expanded seating with enhanced fan amenities, a new video board, and a dedicated Hall of Legends named in honor of Virginia Tech’s greatest athletes—including Hall himself.
Virginia Tech Athletic Director Whit Babcock called the donation “transformational,” praising Hall’s deep commitment to the university. “DeAngelo didn’t just play for Virginia Tech—he embodies Virginia Tech,” Babcock said. “This kind of generosity goes far beyond the field.
