Following Kentucky’s win over Texas A&M, head coach Mark Pope, who has coached Robinson for three seasons now, was effusive in his praise.
“I think it’s probably the most well-rounded that I’ve seen him play,” Pope said. “The 27 and the 22 (points) stand out. One game on the road, one game here against essentially two top-10 teams. That’s special.”
What impressed Pope even more than Robinson’s offensive production was his improvement on defense.
“It’s really not the scoring. It’s his contribution on the defensive end,” Pope explained. “He had a huge defensive play in the guts of the game. He had to pick up the point guard, and (Texas A&M guard Zhuric Phelps) is devastating off the bounce. Jaxson jumped in, met him with the championship chest, and took away his drive. Plays like that are game-changers.”

After a four-turnover game against Louisville, Robinson has committed just four turnovers in his last six games, while dishing out nine assists.
