Maddyn Greenway: A Scoring Phenomenon Dominating Girls High School Basketball
Kenny Brooks and the University of Kentucky have secured a future star in the 2026 class with the commitment of Maddyn Greenway, a four-star point guard who is currently one of the most prolific scorers in girls’ high school basketball.
Greenway, who plays for Providence Academy in Minnesota, is leading her team to an undefeated 9-0 record this season while consistently dominating on the court. Her individual performance has been nothing short of spectacular, as she ranks as one of the top scorers not just in Minnesota, but in the entire nation.
Averaging an impressive 29.8 points per game, Greenway is not only the top scorer in her state but also stands as the 12th-highest scorer nationwide among high school girls. Her offensive prowess was on full display in the season opener, where she exploded for a season-high 39 points in a win against Maple Grove. Along with her scoring, she contributed seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals, showcasing her all-around skill set. In fact, she has managed to score at least 30 points in five different games this season, further solidifying her reputation as a top-tier offensive talent.
In Providence Academy’s most recent game against Dover-Eyota, Greenway posted 26 points, shooting 11-of-23 from the field and 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. She is currently shooting an impressive 47% from the field overall and 36% from three-point range, demonstrating her versatility as a scorer both inside and from long distance. Her ability to stretch the floor with her outside shooting, coupled with her knack for attacking the basket, makes her a difficult matchup for any defense.
