Joshua Braun: SEC Veteran Ready to Anchor the Line
Joshua Braun, a 6-foot-6, 340-pound lineman, began his college career at Florida as part of the 2020 recruiting class. A native of Live Oak, Florida, Braun established himself as a versatile interior lineman, playing both right and left guard for the Gators.
After three years in Gainesville, Braun entered the transfer portal and joined Arkansas, where he flourished as a full-time starter at right guard. Over the last two seasons, Braun earned a solid 70.7 PFF grade in each year and was recognized for his consistent performance with a Second-Team All-SEC selection by the Associated Press in 2023.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Braun is expected to immediately slot in as Kentucky’s starting right guard. His size, strength, and extensive SEC experience make him an ideal fit for Kentucky’s offense, which is looking to re-establish its dominance in the trenches.
Alex Wollschlaeger: Dominant MAC Tackle Brings Stability
Joining Braun is Alex Wollschlaeger, a 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle from Bowling Green. A native of Illinois, Wollschlaeger has spent the past five years excelling at right tackle for the Falcons.
During his collegiate career, Wollschlaeger became a standout player in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), earning Third-Team All-MAC honors in 2023 before taking it up a notch this past season with a First-Team All-MAC selection. He posted a career-best 76.6 PFF grade in 2024, showcasing his ability to protect the quarterback and create running lanes with consistency.
Like Braun, Wollschlaeger has one year of eligibility left and is expected to step in as Kentucky’s starting right tackle, solidifying the edge of the offensive line.
