WVU Football makes final four for top linebacker target, with an announcement soon
The Mountaineers made the cut when 6-foot-4, 220-pound linebacker Grant Beerman of West Chester, Ohio’s Lakota West, revealed his top four colleges earlier this week. Purdue, Cincinnati, and Michigan State complete his list.
With a current 247Sports rating of 3-stars and an overall score of 88, Beerman is ranked as the No. 72 linebacker in the class of 2025 and among the top-25 players in Ohio, a talent-rich state. He has offers from more than 15 power four universities and roughly 30 division one programs.
Beerman visited WVU on official business in late June of this year, and in early December, the Mountaineers extended an offer of scholarship to him. The current date of his decision is July 6 (two days from now). WVU has begun accepting applications. Beerman aggressively recently, and have a real shot here.
There are presently 21 players from West Virginia committed to the class of 2025, but none of them are labeled as linebackers. In the class, Beerman would be the first.
