Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has received significant recognition from the WNBA, being named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for June.
Despite the Sky’s 3-8 record in June, Reese’s performance was outstanding. She set a WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles in a single season with 10. Over 11 games, Reese averaged 14.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. The former LSU Tigers star also led the league in rebounds during this period.

This is the second Rookie of the Month award of the 2024 season, with the May honor going to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
Drafted with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese has shown significant improvement from her first month as a professional, increasing both her scoring and rebounding averages.
Reese and the Sky aim to break their two-game losing streak on Tuesday, July 2, at 7:00 PM ET against the Atlanta Dream.
