Caitlin Clark is not only known for her impressive skills on the court but also for her notable trash-talking abilities, according to Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon.
While Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese often garners attention for her on-court chatter, Hammon believes Clark is equally vocal. “Look, at the end of the day, Clark and Reese are super-skilled and fun to watch,” Hammon said during a Thursday night press conference with Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon. “And they jaw at each other, you know? No one talks more crap than Caitlin. I saw Angel and NaLyssa (Smith) get into it the other day. It’s a different generation. We talked subtly, but they talk in your face, which is fine. Let them go. They’re big girls.”
Clark’s on-court banter complements her performance, as she averages 16.3 points and 6.6 assists per game. Reese, on the other hand, is putting up impressive numbers with 13.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
Their spirited exchanges and competitive nature are part of what makes watching them so exciting for fans and challenging for their opponents.
