With the 2024 NBA Draft now complete, the Los Angeles Lakers are moving swiftly to build their Summer League roster, starting with several undrafted free agent signings under Exhibit-10 contracts.
Shortly after Thursday’s draft, the Lakers commenced their annual tradition of signing undrafted talent. This year, they kicked off by securing Armel Traore and Blake Hinson on two-way contracts before turning to Exhibit-10 deals.
For those unfamiliar, Exhibit-10 contracts are essentially training camp agreements. Players signed to these deals are often waived before the regular season starts but are incentivized to join the team’s G League affiliate through a bonus system.
Missouri’s Sean East II has agreed to an Exhibit-10 deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, I’m told.
The 6’2 ½" combo guard averaged 17.6 PTS, 4.0 AST, 3.5 REB on a 63.0 TS% this season.

In the immediate aftermath of the draft’s second round, the Lakers reportedly signed Sean East II from Missouri to an Exhibit-10 contract. Last season, East averaged 17.6 points per game on efficient shooting, boasting a 52.1% field goal percentage and hitting 45% of his 2.7 three-point attempts per game. He also contributed four assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. Notably, East had a free throw rate of 38.7%, ranking him among the top-20 in free throw attempts, and he converted 85.6% from the line.
The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to an Exhibit-10 deal with undrafted Xavier guard Quincy Olivari, league sources told @hoopshype. Olivari averaged 19.1 points and 5.6 rebounds at Xavier last season.

Alongside East, the Lakers also agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with guard Quincy Olivari from Xavier. Olivari, who spent four years at Rice before transferring to Xavier, averaged career highs in points, rebounds (5.6), and assists (2.1) last season. He shot a career-best 42.5% from the field and 40.9% from beyond the arc. Standing at 6’2”, Olivari, like East, is an undersized point guard known for his ability to draw fouls, reflected in his 39.3% free throw rate and 81.4% shooting from the charity stripe.
Assuming Jalen Hood-Schifino is medically available, the Lakers’ Summer League backcourt is shaping up with JHS, Dalton Knecht, Olivari, East, and Maxwell Lewis. This mix of young talent is poised to showcase their skills and compete for a spot on the Lakers’ roster.
The Lakers’ Summer League roster continues to take shape, and updates on additional signings are expected in the days leading up to the start of the Summer League.
