Caitlin Clark Defends Indiana Fever Teammate During Media Scrutiny
The Indiana Fever’s recent struggles continued with an 89-77 loss to the Seattle Storm, marking their second consecutive defeat and dropping them to fifth in the WNBA Eastern Conference standings, outside of playoff contention.
Despite a limited number of shots, Caitlin Clark delivered a strong performance, contributing 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting, along with six rebounds, seven assists, and a steal. Aliyah Boston added a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
After the game, Clark and Boston participated in a postgame interview where reporters directed all their questions to Clark, neglecting Boston. Clark, wanting to share the spotlight, urged the media to ask Boston some questions. “No, I’m good,” Boston replied with a wave, but Clark insisted, “Ask Aliyah a question,” as reported by ClutchPoints’ Fever beat reporter Matthew Byrne.
Since being selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark has been at the center of attention for fans and media alike. However, she made it clear that she wants her teammates, especially Boston, to also receive recognition. Clark’s response to the reporters highlighted her desire to shift some focus onto her fellow teammates.
Three minutes into the presser, all questions were for Caitlin Clark. She fielded all of them, then said to ask questions to Aliyah Boston. Boston waved, "No, I'm good"––Clark then repeated: "Ask Aliyah a question."
